From a CSV to a model you can evaluate and use
A spreadsheet can be the starting point for a useful predictive workflow. Upload a table to OctOpus, explain the decision you want to support, and review the proposed task before training. The project keeps the analysis, experiment code and available results together so you can decide what to use next.
Check what each row means
Identify the target, time period and entity represented by each row. Inspect missing values, duplicated entities and columns that would not be available at prediction time. A date column alone does not define a forecasting task, and a large table does not repair unreliable labels. Keep the source version so later evaluation refers to the same data.
Compare a baseline and further experiments
OctOpus can propose and execute model experiments within the configured limits. Review the baseline, split strategy, metrics and errors before treating a later experiment as an improvement. Time-dependent data needs evaluation that preserves its intended chronology; repeated people, devices or organizations may require group separation.
Inspect the saved evidence
Use the model view to inspect comparisons and available training curves. Open Code to review the source that produced the result and retain the relevant artifacts. A job may fail or return an inconclusive result. Completion time depends on the data, model and compute, so there is no universal promise that every table becomes a production model in minutes.
Choose how people use the result
For supported models, continue with batch predictions or a prediction service. Build a dashboard to explain the result, or an app with the inputs and actions your users need. Confirm that preprocessing, model loading and new-data handling work in that delivery path. The app should call the intended model rather than only display a convincing interface.
Key capabilities
- A defined target and evaluation split.
- Inspectable experiments, metrics and code.
- Task-dependent model artifacts and prediction options.
- Dashboards and apps built around the result.
